We are an inclusive, growing community in historic downtown Orlando.

At Broadway United Methodist Church, our faith is in Jesus Christ.

We are committed to journeying together and helping one another discover our gifts and graces.

Our doors are open to people of all races, nationalities, creeds, politics, sexual orientations, and gender identities because we believe in a love that embraces everyone, just as Jesus did.

Come as you are to our casual and inclusive church—all are welcome!

Join us for worship on Sundays at 11 AM!

We are located at 406 E. Amelia Street, Orlando, FL 32803.
Parking is available behind the church, with additional parking in the lot across from the main sanctuary and ample street parking.

Accessibility: Our ground floor is accessible, but please note that our sanctuary is on the second floor. We are currently modernizing our elevator to enhance access to the sanctuary. We strive to be a church for all and apologize for any inconvenience.

Meet Our Community & Friends

  • Faith in Florida

Faith in Florida is headquartered within our church. The mission of Faith in Florida (FIF) is to build a powerful, multicultural, nonpartisan network of congregation community organizations in Florida that will address systemic racial and economic issues that cause poverty for our families.

  • Society of St. Andrew

The Society of St. Andrew also has an office within our church. They operate a statewide, volunteer-driven Gleaning Network in Florida that coordinates with local farmers, thousands of volunteers, and food-providing agencies to save over ten million pounds of fresh produce for hungry people! SoSA volunteers represent groups from various church denominations, synagogues, youth groups, schools, clubs, corporations, and families.

  • Opera Orlando

We work with Opera Orlando to host community events in the beautiful Lake Eola Community Garden. If you visit Broadway UMC, you may even hear the sounds of a rehearsal down our halls. https://operaorlando.org/

  • Lake Eola Heights Community Garden & Lawn

The Lake Eola Heights Community Garden is located on our property, and we are able to host wonderful events around the garden and lawn area like family movie nights, Saturday morning community yoga, and more!

  • Broadway's United Women in Faith

The United Women in Faith describe themselves as a "sisterhood acting in faith to tackle the hard work of the world without hesitation." Here at Broadway UMC we have an active local chapter, the "Sonshiners" that gather to study God's will for us and put their efforts behind local and global causes.

  • Reconciling Ministries Network

The Reconciling Ministries Network is an organization seeking the inclusion of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities in both the policy and practices of the United Methodist Church.

  • Residing Hope logo

    Residing Hope

Residing Hope is one of the organizations Broadway UMC is proud to support as it serves abused, abandoned, and neglected children from across the state of Florida.

  • Christian Service Center

The mission of the Christian Service Center is to prevent homelessness, combat poverty, cultivate self-sufficiency, restore hope and glorify God through the faithful provision of services that directly address physical, emotional and spiritual needs for families and individuals who are struggling in Central Florida. This is another local organization that our donations support.

  • Eola General

    Eola General

Eola General is a hidden gem within Lake Eola Heights, one block from the church. They host Theology on Tap and Bible Study groups for us. Broadway UMC members receive 15% off with mention at checkout. All the more reason to visit them before or after our Sunday service!
